While most of the journey is by jeep, some short walks at high altitudes are involved. A moderate level of fitness is recommended, and we advise acclimatization to the altitude.
We use well-maintained, comfortable 4x4 vehicles suitable for mountain terrain. Each jeep typically accommodates 4-6 passengers plus the driver.
Temperatures can vary greatly, from pleasant during the day to near freezing at night, especially at higher altitudes. We'll provide a detailed packing list to ensure you're prepared.
Due to its extremely high altitude (17,800 ft), the Gurudongmar Lake visit may not be suitable for those with health issues. We offer alternative sightseeing options for guests who prefer to skip this excursion.
